About the Office
Jonathan A. Mercer serves as the District Attorney, leading the office with a steadfast commitment to justice, transparency, and community safety. With more than two decades of legal experience and dedication to public service, he oversees all prosecutorial efforts and ensures the fair and impartial application of the law.
Prior to his election, District Attorney Mercer served as a court-appointed special prosecutor and as Chief of the Major Crimes Bureau, earning a reputation for integrity, prosecutorial diligence, and the protection of victims’ rights.
