Meet Sarah Mitchell
For over 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to managing and growing public funds responsibly. As a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst, I understand that the Treasurer’s office isn’t just about keeping score — it’s about actively working to grow Dallas County’s financial strength while protecting every taxpayer dollar from risk and waste.
As a Dallas native and father of two Dallas ISD students, I have a personal stake in how this county manages its finances. Strong treasury management means better roads, better schools, and better services for the 2.6 million people who call Dallas County home.
I’m running for Dallas County Treasurer because our county deserves a financial steward with the expertise, independence, and integrity to do this job right.

Why Dallas County Needs Strong Treasury Leadership
Problem framing
Dallas County collects and manages billions in public revenue every year, from property taxes, grants, and fees. Without expert treasury management, those funds sit idle, earn nothing, or worse, are invested poorly and lose value. Every dollar the Treasurer fails to grow wisely is a dollar that can’t fund a school, fix a road, or serve a family in need.
